  1. Mac Shutdown and Startup images:

  3. Instructions:
  4.  
  5. When the AplMacOS.ZIP file contents are extracted the 3 Logo images
  6. will automatically be placed in the following:
  7.  
  8. Mac Logo.sys - C:\
  9. Mac LogoW.sys - C:\Windows
  10. Mac LogoS.sys - C:\Windows
  11.  
  12. *NOTE* If you are looking in C:\ or C:\Windows and don't see any ".SYS"
  13. files it is probably because you need to set your windows explorer to
  14. "view all files (and file extensions)."  To do this simply go to "view"
  15. in windows explorer, then select "options" then click the "show all files"
  16. and if you need to, uncheck "hide msdos file extensions..." And put these
  17. settings back when you are done installing your logos! :)

  19. Before proceeding further, backup your original Windows Logo files! 
  20. For simplicity's sake rename the Windows logos as follows, 
  21. (or name them whatever you want):

  23. 1.  Rename these files to the following:
  24.  
  25.     Filename & Change            Location
  26.  
  27.     Logo.sys changes to WinLogo.sys        C:\WinLogo.sys
  28.     Logos.sys changes to WinLogoS.sys    C:\Windows\WinLogoS.sys
  29.     Logow.sys changes to WinLogoW.sys    C:\Windows\WinLogoW.sys

  31. 2.  Now you can proceed to install the Mac OS StartUp and Shutdown
  32.     screens!  (Remember the new Mac OS files are already extracted
  33.     to the proper locations!)  Rename these files to the following:

  35.     Filename & Change            Location
  36.  
  37.     MacLogo.sys changes to Logo.sys        C:\Logo.sys
  38.     MacLogos.sys changes to LogoS.sys    C:\Windows\LogoS.sys
  39.     MacLogow.sys changes to LogoW.sys    C:\Windows\LogoW.sys

  42. And you're done!  The three files are:
  43.  
  44.     Logo.sys is the startup screen
  45.     Logow.sys is the "shutting down computer" screen
  46.     Logos.sys is the "Shut down complete" screen
  47.  
  48. To uninstall these logos, just reverse these instructions!
